Bridal Hair Tips

1) Select several photos of the styles you want and show your stylist. Be realistic when it comes to choosing the hair style.

2) Book an appointment and have a trial with your stylist. If possible, take along a photo of your dress, and any headpiece or hair accessories.

3) Find out if you need to grow your hair length, improve the condition with conditioning treatments, change the colour or have some highlights.

4) Work with your stylist to choose a style that will suit your face shape:

  • Round faces suit high "updos" and sleek long styles
  • Long faces suit styles that have width and volume.

5) Check your comfort level with how much of your face / neck / shoulders is exposed, if your all your hair is pulled back from your face, or leaving curls / wisps around your face to soften.

6) Once you have decided to wear you hair up or down, the possibilities are endless. Curls are soft and romantic and variations to the bun or spikes and twists.

7) Head pieces & Veils should compliment your hairstyle and not to hide it. Veils look good if sat at the back of the head secured well under curls or bun.

8) Choose a hairstyle that needs to be sturdy enough to hold it's shape until you take the veil off.

9) Try to reflect your personality in your bridal hairdo but sturdy enough to hold it's shape until you remove the veil.

10) Do not wash hair on the wedding day, your hair will go under a lot of stress to achieve the style, and won't guarantee the hold.

Always remember:
The Day of make sure you and your party is wearing a button or zipper tops/shirts. It will be easier to remove and it will ensure that your hair / make up stays in place.
